Data triangulation
.webp)
A method used in data analysis and user experience (UX) consisting of cross-referencing different sources and types of data to obtain a richer, more complete and accurate understanding of user behavior and preferences.
By combining qualitative data (feedback, interviews, observations) with quantitative data (statistics, performance metrics), triangulation helps to validate the relevance of insights, reduce potential bias and increase the reliability of conclusions.
This holistic approach is particularly used in conversion rate optimization (CRO), where informed decision-making relies on the confirmation of insights via multiple concordant sources.
